Sarawak is a premium field marketing agency active across multiple sectors. Travel Retail is one of our key areas of expertise, with a strong presence at Brussels Airport, Brussels South Airport Charleroi, and Luxembourg Airport.
We deliver high-quality services and flexible staffing solutions to a wide range of international luxury brands, particularly within cosmetics, spirits and wines, chocolate, jewellery, and other premium categories. Our brand ambassadors ensure an exceptional level of hospitality and play a key role in driving sales while creating memorable customer experiences.
Within Travel Retail, our activities include sales advisory, make-up sessions, flyering and sampling campaigns. We also develop tailor-made solutions to proactively respond to market needs. For example, we deploy Asian interpreters when flight traffic to and from Asia increases at Brussels Airport.
Sarawak is also co-founder and active member of APA, an international network of agencies specialised in staffing and promotion. This network includes 10 agencies operating in more than 80 European airports.

Your Role
As Project Manager Travel Retail, you are responsible for the operational coordination, planning and follow-up of Travel Retail projects and clients. You act as the central point of contact between clients, field teams and internal stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, on time and to the highest standards.
You will oversee both operational execution and administrative follow-up, while gradually taking ownership of client relationships and project development.
Your Responsibilities
• Project coordination and planning of Travel Retail activations at airports
• Management and follow-up of field teams (brand ambassadors, make-up artists, sales consultants, merchandisers, etc.)
• Validation and control of worked hours and performance of flexible staff
• Preparation and follow-up of DIMONA declarations for temporary employees
• Operational coordination with airport partners, clients and internal teams
• Ensuring high service quality and brand standards in all activations
• Maintaining regular contact with field staff and supporting them operationally
• Monitoring project performance and reporting to clients
Depending on your experience, you will also:
• Manage client relationships and smaller accounts independently
• Identify opportunities for operational improvement and growth
Your Profile
• You work accurately and in a structured manner, particularly when managing schedules, staffing and operational follow-up
• You hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent through experience)
• You are proactive, solution-oriented and comfortable taking ownership of projects
• You combine strong administrative skills with excellent interpersonal communication
• You are comfortable communicating with different stakeholders and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously
• You are motivated to grow and take on increasing responsibilities
Language Requirements: Mandatory
Due to the international airport environment, strong language skills are essential.
You must have:
• Dutch – fluent
• French – fluent
• English – fluent
